Nice, small hike high above Lake Garda through green forests and with great views to the hermitage Valentine's day! Here you can walk perfectly on Lake Garda with or without children:
Dhe goal, the cute one Chapel of San Valentino, is charmingly built into the rock with views over Lake Garda!
Hiking on Garadsee to the chapel San Valentino:
The path starts in the mountain village Sasso high above Gargnano. The best way to park the car right in town and strengthen again in the rustic bar at the entrance with an Italian caffé.
Continue following the signs through the small streets and soon even on a gravel road up and up. The shield says 40 minutes. Uphill I would, however, depending on the pace, rather 60 minutes rate, with children again 15 minutes longer.
But the way is really fun! It is always relatively steep upward on a good stone path. Every now and then comes a small stream or fallen tree across. Mostly you walk through lush forest and sometimes you get a wonderful panoramic view over Gargnano and the Lake Garda up to Monte Baldo!
At the very end, just before the finish, it gets a bit tricky to run, as it is very steep. But even that is possible even with smaller children.
Finally arrived at the top, you can see the sweet chapel from the inside and explore caves and paths. All in all a really varied hike with a great destination! Be sure to pack a lot of water and good shoes! Back then it goes a little faster ...
