The ski season is coming to an end. But here in the triangle Saalfelden - Leogang - Maria Alm you find in this luxury chalet in Austria hut romance paired with powder luck!
AIn the outskirts of the village of Lenzing near Saalfelden lies this sweet chalet with a panoramic view! From the outside I fall in love with this little one Gingerbread house.
A few (heatable) stairs go up to the rustic wooden door with heart and inside there is a lot of wood and Heimelichkeit receive. I feel right at home!
The Interior is very tasteful and distributed on two floors with 90qm. The owners take care of each other lovingly and from the bathrobe and sauna towels to firewood and Nespresso capsules everything is available, what you need for a chalet holiday in the mountains!
Highlights are the open Fireplace in the living room, the free-standing bathtub in the bathroom and the small infrared cabin in the basement. There are a total of two bedrooms: a double bedroom and a bunk room with four beds.
The View from the balcony in the kitchen is just fantastic and on each side of the chalet you will find a sunny spot!
Equal behind the house, nature beginsWhether to sledge with the house bobsled, for hiking or cross-country skiing.
Price from 260 € per night
The chalet is perfectly located in close proximity to three different ski areas:
The optimal ski resort for ski beginners and returnees is no 10 minutes away by car! It has a small baby lift (also suitable for tobogganing) and two anchor lifts with blue and red slopes.
You can eg on Berggasthof Hinterreit park and from there on skis to the two ski lifts. Ski pass from approx. 20 €
2. Maria Alm:
Again, you just drive 10 minutes to the Abergbahn. The ski resort Maria Alm is the starting point for the so-called Königstour and belongs to Ski Amadé! It will not be boring here. Great is also the fun slope for children!
The slopes were real perfectly prepared and for the beginning of March a dream (the weather too, by the way)! Ski pass from approx. 40 € for 3 hours.
Incidentally, the ski lifts are still open everywhere until the beginning of April!
In the other direction one arrives in approx. 15 autominutes to Leogang. The ski resort is with the Skicirkus Saalbach-Hinterglemm connected. Unfortunately, we did not have time to try the slopes here.
I love tobogganing and of course our kids too! We are extra by car the somewhat steep mountain to Berggasthof Huggenberg raised (but there is also a shuttle bus).
From there you walk on the toboggan run about an hour to Berggasthof Biberg up, our starting point for the toboggan tour. The path is quite steep and exhausting, but the panorama is great!
Once at the top you can get some refreshments at the inn. Very quaint and cozy here. My advice: homemade mountain herbs pesto to take away for about 5 €.
A loan sledge costs also 5 € and then it can go already. On almost deserted route it is partly curvy but never dangerous downhill, the mountain panorama is our constant companion.
I think I have never ridden on such a great and relaxed tour. My personal insider tip! The track is even lit, so that also night tobogganing possible (except Monday).
